“Devolution” by Max Brooks

While “Devolution” excels in its portrayal of suspense and terror, some readers may find the epistolary format and fragmented narrative structure challenging to follow at times. The use of multiple perspectives and storytelling devices adds depth to the narrative but may also cause the pacing to lag in certain sections. However, Brooks’ ability to craft a compelling and immersive tale ultimately outweighs these minor stylistic considerations.
